At the beginning of the year, Smart Digital signed the Charter of Diversity. On signing this Charter we made a commitment to diversity and tolerance in the working environment and to promote an open and unprejudiced corporate culture.
The Charter of Diversity is the largest German corporate initiative to promote diversity in companies under the patronage of German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Over 3,400 companies have signed the Charter and with creative and at the moment mainly digital activities they fly the flag for diversity and solidarity.
This was also the case on 26 May 2020, the 8th German Diversity Day held nationwide. Smart Digital has taken this special day as an opportunity to create more awareness of diversity in our company and to live diversity together and above all with plenty of fun – even for those working from home.
As part of a photo campaign, we asked: “What does diversity mean?” In these pictures, Smart Digital employees expressed their personal opinions and their own experience of diversity. The result is a colourful mixture of many different answers:
The photo campaign is currently accompanied by an international Smart & Tasty cookbook with delicacies from over 20 of our colleagues’ countries of origin. The different recipes reflect the nations that meet at Smart Digital every day, harmonize together, promote different ways of thinking, ideas and perspectives and let us grow together. The cookbook is also ideal for sharing the culinary diversity and trying the recipes out together in virtual cooking sessions or at the next Smart Digital Happy Hour. Diversity brings people together and is an active part of our lives – even in times of working from home!
If this resonates with you and on top of that you enjoy working with us to bring forward the digital transformation, then you’ve come to the right place. Regardless of age, gender and gender identity, ethnic and cultural origin, religion and belief, sexual orientation and identity or disability, we welcome all talents who want to promote themselves and us.
